WELCOME TO

CHILDREN'S COMPUTER CORNER!

Where children's technology is blended with arts, academics, and life skills!

Technology is now a regular part of our society, and how children are introduced to technology is highly important. Our program allows your child to experience a variety of devices, preparing them for the diverse ways they will encounter technology in the world.  Our learning units include:

  • Laptop, keyboard, and mouse with software designed to develop teamwork and critical thinking

  • Touchscreen tablets with colorful age-appropriate apps to build a strong foundation in coding

  • Screen-free interactive robotics activities, including STEM toys, and  KIBO the robot from KinderLab Robotics

Along with all of this, we discuss and explore what it means to find an appropriate balance between every day uses of technology and over-engagement that distracts from healthy living. From email and text, to Google home devices, GPS, and AI, these tools are meant to assist in - rather than dominate - our lives. We believe these ethical aspects, so relevant to today's culture, are an essential part of educating your child in technology.

WHAT PARENTS SAY

"(Our daughter) really enjoyed the Robotics camp and all the computer classes this past year. We signed her up because of her complete lack of interest in computers and because she was having difficulty using the mouse in the classroom. She really learned a lot and especially talked non-stop about the camp…. Thank you for all of your hard work with her!”  (Redmond, WA)

“I just want to extend a huge thank you for offering this class at my child’s preschool. He absolutely loved it! In fact (our son) would come home every day and tell me what he did in his robotics class and how much fun he had!!  It was awesome seeing his face light up as he described the robot activities and ‘what engineers do.’ I haven’t seen him this excited about anything in a long time…”  (Lynnwood, WA)
